The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Otu has appointed the Chairman of the Association of Cross River Online Journalists (ACROJ), Mr. Edem Darlington as the the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
Mr. Darlington’s appointment and that of others was announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh, in a statement on Monday, June 19.
The appointees are:
1. Mr. Edem Darlington – Deputy Chief Press Secretary.
2. Mr. Nathaniel Otaba – Special Assistant Communication
3. Mr. Andrea Inyang Ekeng- Special Assistant, New Media
4. Ms. Imani Odey – Special Assistant, Electronic Media
5. Mr. Rasheed Olarewaju – Special Assistant, Media, and Publicity
6. Mr. Oqua Etim – Personal Assistant, ICT
7. Mr. Joseph Inyang – Government House Compere
8. Mr. Daniel William – Personal Photographer to the Governor
9. Mr. Godswill Ekpe – Personal Cinematographer to the Governor.
The governor also approved the appointment of Mr. Bassey Samuel Nsor as the new General Manager of the Cross River State Broadcasting Corporation (CRBC).
Other appointments approved by the governor on Monday are:

2. Special Adviser Programs/Project/Event- Dr Mrs. Inyang Asibang
3. Head Of Protocol-Alice Ndem JP 4. Press Secretary-Faith Eyo Okon
5. Special Assistant New Media and Communication – Kenneth Anam
6. Special Assistant Political Chief Mrs Angela Odey
7. Special Assistant NG0’s-Jeffrey Adamade Asabusi
8. Special Assistant Religious Affairs – Ms. Odo Bassey
9. Special Assistant Domestic- Nancy Inyang Olatunji
According to Prof. Enoh, all appointments takes immediate effect.
Meanwhile, Governor Otu has approved the immediate suspension of the Chairman of the Cross River State Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Akpanke A. Ogar.
Mr. Ogar’s suspension was also disclosed by Prof. Enoh, in a statement on Monday.
Prince Edwin Okon has been appointed as the Acting Chairman of the state revenue generating agency.
