The Association of Cross River Online Journalists (ACROJ) has commended the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu on the appointment of its Chairman, Edem Darlington as his new Deputy Chief Press Secretary.
A release signed by the association’s secretary, Umo Akwang, extolled the leadership qualities of Mr. Darlington as well as his depth of knowledge, expertise and experience as a journalist.
“Your Excellency, the news of the appointment of the incumbent Chairman of the Association is a welcomed development.
“We thank you for making the right choice and appointing the right person for the job in the person of Mr. Edem Darlington. Your choice of Edem Darlington as your new Deputy Chief Press Secretary is one that has received wide acceptability because of his experience, leadership qualities, expertise and firm grip of the media sector in the state and beyond” the statement reads in part.
“The Association wishes to reiterate its commitment to partner with your government for the growth and betterment of Cross River, our dear State. ACROJ hopes this appointment will usher in and rejuvenate the cordial relationship the Association has been enjoying with the State government”.
