The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr. Martins Achadu has defeated the incumbent, Rt. Hon. Cynthia Nkasi to win the Yala II State House of Assembly seat in Cross River State.
The result was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the early hours of Sunday, March 19, 2023.
Dr Achadu polled a total of 2,606 votes to beat Hon Nkasi of the APC who garnered 1,769 votes.
