A serving member of the House of Representatives from Rivers State, Hon. Chinyere Igwe has been arrested by security operatives with a cash sum of five hundred thousand US Dollars ($500,000) in Port Harcourt.
The police also recovered a ‘sharing formula’ meant to induce INEC staff and security agents in Rivers State.
According to reports, Hon. Igwe claimed the money was given to him by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to ensure his electoral victory in Saturday’s presidential election.
