By Obio Monday The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jones Williams has been declared the winner of Cross River Central Senatorial election held on Saturday, February 25, GRASSROOT REPORTERS reports.

Hon. Williams of the All Progressives Congress (APC) defeated his main rival, Hon. Bassey Eko Ewa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

APC scored 57,344 votes, PDP scored 53,453 votes to come second while Labour Party scored 15,874 votes to come third.

For Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency, Sir Victor Abang of the APC was declared the winner.

He scored 23,158 while PDP scored 22,745 and Labour Party recorded 7,095 votes.
