Former chairman of Biase of Local Government Area of Cross River State and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Emil Inyang has been declared the winner of the House of Representatives election held on Saturday for Biase/Akamkpa Federal Constituency.
Dr Inyang defeated Hon. Austin Aidam of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to emerge victorious.
The APC candidate scored 13,998 votes while Hon Aidam garnered 11,194 votes.
Labour Party came third with a total of 6402 votes.
