The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has again, attacked President Muhammadu Buhari over the depreciation of the naira, GRASSROOT REPORTERS reports.

This is coming few days after the APC candidate slammed Buhari's government over the current fuel crisis and the Central Bank's redesign of the naira.

Speaking in Calabar, the Cross River State capital during the flag off of the APC presidential campaign rally, Tinubu said the President lacks idea on how to arrest the free fall of the naira.

He said if the President had taken steps earlier, Nigerians wouldn't have found themselves in where they are today.

Tinubu said when the government took over, the naira/dollar exchange rate was about N200 to a dollar, but it has depreciated to about N800 to the dollar on the parallel market.

“Today, they moved the exchange rate from N200 to N800. If they had repaired it, if they had arrested this, we won’t be where we are today, we will be greater. “They don’t know the way, they don’t know how to think, they don’t know how to do,” the former Lagos governor said.
