Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu has unveiled his People First Manifesto.
At a press conference held at the NUJ secretariat in Calabar. Sen. Otu who is highly tipped to win the March 11 gubernatorial election in the state said the manifesto was a result of his state-wide tour were he spent time discussing with the people and finding out what their peculiar issues were.
“when we come into power on May 29 this year by the special grace of God, our mission will be to eliminate every channel of waste, while encouraging every factor of production. And we know that our most important factor of production is our enterprising and hardworking people which we will greatly encourage.
“Our policy thrust is People First. In everything we do, we will ensure that the people come first. In addition, we shall ensure that we revisit all our assets and everything that belonged to us that were taken from us”
Sen. Otu who assured young people of his resolve to deliberately create avenues for empowerment, called on them to brace up for the massive job opportunities that is coming.
Flanked by his deputy governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey and other prominent Cross Riverians including former Senate leader, Chief Ndoma Egba, SAN, fomer Culture and Tourism Minister, High Chief Edem Duke, Prof. Eyo Etim Nyong and others Sen. Otu assured the people of the State of better days ahead.
The manifesto presentation by the APC governorship candidate has greatly muted the camp of the opposition PDP in the state who peddled fake news that the APC had no manifesto.
