While many will be getting married tomorrow, those already married are flocking the Court on daily basis, begging for the dissolution of their marriages over lack of love and infidelity.

Just today alone, 12 young married couples have filed their petitions in Uyo, accusing their spouses of being lazy and lacking manners, with two others alleging that their wives cannot cook.

One of them, Mr. Ebong Okon, a commercial bus driver said his wife is fond of posting “half naked” pictures of herself on her Facebook and WhatsApp statuses, an action he said he had warned her to desist but she refused.

Despite moves by the Court presided over by Ntong Ntong to reunite one of the couples, they vowed never to live together as husband and wife.

The Court almost convicted one of the parties for refusing to allow her estranged husband access to his three children but not for the plea by her Lawyer and intervention of members of the Family Court.

One of the petitioners is a 39 year-old banker who begs the Court to dissolve his three year-old marriage over the alleged promiscuous lifestyle of his wife, a makeup artist in Uyo.

Another petitioner, Ndifreke Bassey said since ever she got a government job, her husband, who lost his own job after their wedding last year, has been depending on her for family needs.

The cases have been adjourned to next month for mention and hearing.
