Court 2 of the Federal High Court, Calabar Division, presided by Justice Rosemary Dugbo Oghoghorie will tomorrow, November 24, deliver judgment in a suit seeking to disqualify Prince Bassey Otu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, from the 2023 gubernatorial election in the state
The suit, with suit number FHC/CA/CS/142/2022, instituted by the Cross River State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Senator Sandy Onor, is seeking amongst others, the disqualification of Hon. Odey for not being a member of the APC and acquiring citizenship of a foreign country – the United Kingdom (UK).
Senator Otu was recently declared the authentic candidate of the APC in a suit brought by Senator John Owan Enoh.
