A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, and presided by Justice Evelyn Maha has dismissed the suit brought by a senatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Cross River North Senatorial District, Barr Cecilia Adams, against the candidacy of Governor Ben Ayade, GRASSROOT REPORTERS reports.

Barr Adams in suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/232/2022, challenged her exclusion from the fresh primary election of the party held in Ogoja, which led to the emergence of Governor Ayade.

Governor Ayade was announced as the winner of the primary after he contested and lost the APC presidential primary.

Delivering judgment on Wednesday, Justice Maha dismissed the suit, affirming Governor Ayade’s candidacy.
