The Atlas Lionesses of Morocco, Monday night defeated the Super Falcons of Nigeria 5:4 on penalties in Rabat.

 

Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade was sent off in the 70th minute.

 

The Nigerians were reduced to nine after Ajibade bagged her second yellow card after VAR review.

 

Nigeria were earlier reduced to 10 players after Halimatu Ayinde received a red card in the 48th minute.

 

Morocco equalised against Nigeria in the 66th minute.

 

Uchenna Kanu had scored in the 62nd minute to put Nigeria ahead earlier.

 

The game ended 1-1 after fulltime, despite Nigeria being reduced to nine players.

 

Meanwhile, Bayana Bayana of South Africa qualified for the WAFCON final on Monday.
