
Traditional rulers in Cross River State have vowed to expose their members aiding and abetting kidnappings in the state.
The monarchs also said such erring member will be reported to the security agencies, no matter how highly placed such individual is in the society.
This was part of the decisions at the end of a meeting of the traditional Rulers with the owner of Arthur-Jarvis University whose school was attacked recently by kidnappers.
Speaking after the meeting with the Clan and Village heads as well as Security agencies, Chairman of Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council, Etim Ene-okon warned his colleagues that it will no more be business as usual.
The Chairman who is also the Paramount Ruler of Bakassi local government area, said the consequences of their actions will not be good to the society, when caught.
Speaking on the recent Kidnap case in Arthur-Jarvis University, Founder of the School Arthur-Jarvis Archibong and a security representative Asuquo Okon, assured the Community and Students that such will not happen again.
The Cross River State Government had recently lamented the increase in kidnap cases in Akpabuyo and Bakassi local government areas, saying such cases of abduction could be stopped by the traditional rulers in their areas.
