The Cross River State government has clarified on its earlier directive on schools in the state to resume.

The State Commissioner for Education, Godwin Amanke had on Wednesday announced a trial resumption of schools in the state from 16th June, 2020.


But in a statement on Thursday, signed by Mrs. Aniedi B. Ekepenyong, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, the government said only SS2 and SS3 students of 3 secondary schools are to resume on June 16, which is part of its trial/phase resumption of schools.

The schools which are spread across the 3 senatorial districts of the state are West African Peoples Institute (WAPI), Calabar, Government Secondary School, Ikom and Government Secondary School, Igoli, Ogoja.
