The Cross River State Government has identified and declared 35 suspected cultists wanted for being responsible for recent cult-related killings in Calabar metropolis.

A statement signed by Dr. A Mboto, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Special Services and made available to newsmen in Calabar listed a councillorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming local government election, representing Calabar South Ward 6, Cyril Bassey and a son of a traditional ruler in Unwanse, Calabar South, Chief Ndabo  Ekpo Eyo, Kufre Ekpo Eyo (AKA Romance) among the perpetrators of cult killings in Calabar.

The statement warned that any house and hotel accommodating the wanted ring leaders will be confiscated and the owner prosecuted.

Not fewer than 15 persons are said to have been killed from a renewed cult clash between Black Axe and Klans in Calabar and its environs.
